The best animated movie ever!

The movie 9 caught me by suprise.  Perhaps that's because I never have high expectations when it comes to animated movies.  And I hadn't heard that much about it before I watched the DVD.  So I was pleasantly surprised indeed.

9 is like no other animated movie you've ever seen.  The style is fresh.  The animation techniques are fresh.  The story is fresh.  It's something completely different.  It also has a unique cast of voice actors, including Elijah Wood and one of my all-time favorites Crispin Glover.  Put all that together, and you have one of the most interesting and captivating movies I've ever seen (not just animated movies).

The story is set on a post-apocalyptic Earth where no humans remain, only their mechanical creations.  It's an insightful story of survival and humanity (despite the absence of human life).  It's fascinating and thought provoking.  It's exciting and touching.  ...and it's rated PG-13, so you don't have to feel guilty about letting the kiddies watching it with you!

9 is by far the best animated movie I've ever seen, and one of the best movies—period!
